Thrilling finale in Calanhel / Gourin, the second stage of the Kreiz Breizh Elites held over a total distance of 200 kilometers and characterized by a concluding circuit full of climbs. The winner was Marius Innhaug Dahl, a Norwegian born in 2006 from the Decathlon CMA CGM Development Team who beat Nolann Mahoudo, former Cofidis rider and now with the VC Pays de Loudéac club team.

The two athletes finished the race with a few meters advantage over the peloton which, launched into the sprint, swallowed up Langella and Vazie, both from Equipe CIC who were both in the breakaway with the first two. In the thrilling finale, third place went to Liam Van Bylen, teammate of the winner.

In the general classification, Guillaume Adam remains in command, the standard-bearer of the Veloce Club Rouen 76 team who yesterday won the team time trial that opened the French stage race.

TODAY'S STAGE Among various breakaway attempts, when there were about thirty kilometers left to the finish, the Belgian Bert Bolle (Volkerwessels Cycling Team), the Luxembourger Alexandre Kess (Team Lotto Kern-Haus Outlet Montabaur) and the British rider Tomos Pattinson (EF Education-Aevolo) gave it a try. Pedaling "flat out" these men quickly gained a significant advantage, passing through the finish zone with 46 seconds ahead of the peloton, but their attack lasted less than ten kilometers: the peloton, very selective, caught them when there were 22 kilometers left to the finish.

Among attacks and counter-attacks in the final kilometers, three riders escaped: Lenaic Langella (Cic pro cycling academy), Marius Innhaug Dahl (Decathlon CMA CGM) and Nolann Mahoudo (VC Pays de Loudéac), later joined by Maxime Vezie, Langella's teammate.

On the second day of racing, it is worth noting the twenty-second place finish of Ludovico Mellano (XDS Astana Development Team) and unfortunately also the withdrawal of Roberto Capello (EF Education – Aevolo)
