Get ready and prepare yourselves to see Uno-X Mobility in decidedly unusual attire this week at the Tour of Denmark. For the short stage race in the Nordic region scheduled from tomorrow to Sunday, August 2nd, Vegar Kulset's team will race not only under a different name but also wearing a kit completely different from the one admired so far during the season.
In honor of the well-known local soft drink Faxe Kondi, which became part of the team's sponsor pool at the end of February, for the five stages that will characterize the 36th edition of the Tour of Denmark, the Scandinavian squad will be called Team Faxe Kondi and the selected riders for the race (Henrik Breiner Pedersen, William Blume Levy, Carl-Frederik Bévort, Alexander Kamp, Erlend Blikra, Storm Ingebrigtsen, Rasmus Tiller) will wear a jersey and helmet in bright green, the same color that allowed the beverage put on the market back in 1971 by the Faxe Bryggeri brewery to become so recognizable and popular in Danish territory.
The same color will also be featured on the special edition frame that Ridley (the team's bike supplier) has produced for the occasion, a unique piece that will make the Norwegian team's presence in the peloton even more distinctive.
"From the beginning we agreed that this partnership should go beyond simply having a logo on the jersey. Faxe Kondi boasts a strong identity in Denmark, and its energy and vibrancy fit perfectly with our team. The Tour of Denmark is the perfect opportunity to cement this partnership so that the public takes notice" said Thor Hushovd, General Manager of a team that once again, as has happened in the recent past, has not shied away from honoring and giving greater visibility to the partners who have decided to support its cause.
