It was a special debut for the Ciclostorica ValGanna which, at its first edition, managed to gather a large number of participants and generate great interest throughout the territory. From the early morning hours of Sunday, July 12, more than eighty enthusiasts gathered to tackle the route through the suggestive valleys of Varese, reliving the history of champions from the past.

The event was born as a challenge, but it achieved enormous success. Credit goes to the organization of Asd Ganna, the historic team founded in 1919 with Luigi Ganna, the winner of the first Giro d'Italia, and brought back to life between 2024 and 2025 through the great work of Stefania Bardelli. The ciclostorica required many months of preparation by the team led by president Riccardo Aceti and his collaborators. Historic bikes, jerseys from teams that made cycling history—for one day, Val Ganna traveled back in time, reliving the exploits of the great champions.

The group guided by former professional Danilo Gioia crossed suggestive areas of the Varese province, including a stop at Brinzio with the first refreshment point, then continuing towards Cunardo, Lake Ghirla, and finally the municipality of Induno Olona, the birthplace of Luigi Ganna. An emotional day filled with smiles and many participants, but above all, the beginning of something that could become much bigger.
