UAE TEAM EMIRATES XRG. 10 with honors. Seven placings, three victories. Two with Pogacar who also has the yellow jersey and the polka dot jersey. The other with Del Toro who is third overall and wears the white jersey as best young rider. In the special team classification they are second. Impressive.

LIDL TREK. 9. At the moment they are the team that has collected the most placings: 11. They are also among the few to have brought home a victory, with Mads Pedersen, who is also wearing the green jersey of the Tour. In the special team classification they are leading. Second with Ayuso in the young riders classification. The Spaniard is also 5th overall, while Skjelmose is 9th. That's serious stuff.

RED BULL BORA HANSGROHE. 7.5. Evenepoel 4th, Lipowitz 7th, with UAE and Lidl Trek they are the only ones to have two riders in the top ten. They haven't brought home a victory, but so far they've collected six placings and are the fourth power at team level. And there's still everything to play for...

DECATHLON CMA CGM. 7.5. Tough squad (fifth in the team classification), built around their captain, le petit garçon Paul Seixas. Six placings, one stage victory with Kooij and then 6th overall with the young rider.

ALPECIN PREMIER TECH. 6.5. The start is slow: Van der Poel struggles, Philpsen too. Then the Dutchman picks up the pace and quite a bit, to the point of winning a super stage. Philpsen continues to struggle, and a lot. Six placings and one victory. There's worse.

GROUPAMA FDJ. 5. The best at the moment is Guillaume Martin, 34th. Only three placings, after a solid 8th place in the Barcelona team time trial. Then too little for a team like this.

BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS. 6.5. We were hoping for our Antonio Tiberi, but so far he hasn't found happy days. Lenny Martinez is currently 8th, and the team has collected four placings. Not bad.

TEAM JAYCO ALULA. 5. A very good start with the team time trial (10th), then with O'Connor and especially with Luke Plapp who lose minutes on minutes and the classification has slipped away. For now they're saved by Ackermann and Matthews, who keep everything afloat.

UNO-X MOBILITY. 8. Two days in yellow with Torstein Traeen, then forced to withdraw due to a bad crash down from the Tourmalet. Six placings obtained, Tobias Johannessen just seconds away from 10th place overall. In short, so far a Tour of the highest level.

PINARELLO Q36.5 PRO CYCLING TEAM. 6.5. Tom Pidcock starts a bit sluggish, but despite the heat, walking as he goes, he seems to find confidence with the race and a pedal stroke that's his own. They can only improve. For now two placings, with the Brit (a 10th and a 3rd).

EF EDUCATION EASY POST. 6. Among the teams 6th place overall, then four placings with Carapaz (3rd) Quinn (7th and 10th), Baudin (4th). A team that has moved and that perhaps collected less than it produced. Sean Quinn is 12th, not far from the top ten. Ready to kick up a fuss.

LOTTO INTERMARCHÉ. 5.5. The 24-year-old Belgian Lennert Van Eetvelt is 16th at the first checkpoint, for the rest two placings, with the same Van Eetvelt (6th) and two with Artz (4th and 7th). Pretty good - also because Baptiste Veistroffer is the king of breakaways - but not very good.

MOVISTAR TEAM. 5.5. As a team they are eighth. Pablo Castrillo is only 21st. For the rest two placings, a 3rd and a 9th place with Raul Garcia and Pablo Castrillo, in the fourth stage.

NSN CYCLING TEAM. 6. Marco Frigo fought like few others, Girmay sprinted with absolute concreteness. For them, overall, five placings and the awareness that they can still play the role of troublemakers.

XDS ASTANA TEAM. 5. Three placings with Kanter in the sprints, then very little. Tejada is 26th, there's a lot to recover.

SOUDAL QUICK-STEP. 8. They came here to be seen and try to win at least one stage. They've already won two with Merlier, who also obtained a 3rd place for the Belgian team. If there's sprinting to be done, they know how to do it. If there's classification to be made, they try with the 26-year-old Van Wilder, who is currently 14th.

COFIDIS. 5. Thirty years of continuous sponsorship in cycling, with only one name: theirs. For this alone they would deserve a yellow jersey ad honorem. For the rest, in this first part, two placings: an 8th place and a 10th with Fretin in the 5th and 8th stages. Ion Izaguirre should be the man of regularity and classification: for now he's 32nd, but yesterday he climbed eight positions in one go.

TOTALENERGIES. 5. The sponsor's name is of absolute level, that of the riders no. Three placings in the top ten (5th stage: 9th Turgis; 9th stage: 8th Breuillard; 9th Jegat), you hardly see them there fighting. Then very little, for an ambitious team, with projects of a certain level, but when the level rises vertiginously the projects remain as such. They aim to do well with Swiss rider Yannis Voisard: for now he's 18th, but you can climb back up.

CAJA RURAL-SEGUROS RGA. 5. Nine stages and not even one placing in the top ten. Little substance in a Tour of top riders, where at the moment the Spanish team plays the role of an extra, never arrived.
