With a stunning sprint that is his most appreciated technical skill, Lorenzo Magli of Team Hopplà prevailed at the unprecedented finish line in Vitiano in the province of Arezzo, host to both the start and finish of the 64th Giro delle Valli Aretine, celebrating the inauguration of the new facility of Rosini Impianti company with president Piero Rosini, a great cycling enthusiast, while Enzo Amantini of Sport Event Cycling was the race director and organizer alongside Fabrizio Carnasciali. Thus leaving behind, at least for this year, the historic venue of Rigutino, which holds many memories, the race proved to be fast, averaging over 43 km/h despite the heat and difficulties with the climbs of Scopetone, Foce, and then Cortona from the challenging Sodo side.
Beyond Magli's superb interpretation of the final sprint to beat skilled and dangerous rivals such as Crescioli and Rossi in a group of about twenty-five riders, noteworthy was the excellent performance of Burani, Magli's teammate, who was very active throughout. A tight and fiercely contested race with a final attempt by a quartet neutralized in the closing stages. At the start of the national race were 155 riders from 26 teams, and for Magli this marks his third victory of a season that started brilliantly with the Firenze-Empoli and saw him prominent on other occasions. Confirmations also for Crescioli and Rossi, frequently in the spotlight in recent weeks.
FINISHING ORDER: 1) Lorenzo Magli (Team Hopplà) 161 km, in 3h42'29", average 43.419 km/h; 2) Giosuè Crescioli (Gallina Lucchini Ecotek); 3) Leonardo Rossi (Beltrami TSA Tre Colli); 4) Marco Fermanelli (Vegan Vitalcare Dynatek); 5) Andrea Buti (Gallina Lucchini Ecotek); 6) Friggi; 7) Milesi; 8) Della Torre; 9) Hereward; 10) Frius.
