Between road races and time trials, today continues the awarding of national titles
NETHERLANDS. Wilco Kelderman (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) concludes as the winner of the 160-kilometer road race, leaving behind Bauke Mollema (Lidl – Trek) and Jochem Kerckhaert (BEAT CC p/b Saxo). The 35-year-old rider returns to victory after eleven years: it was 2015 when Wilco became Dutch time trial champion, his last triumph before today.
BELGIUM. Rune Herregodts is crowned Belgian champion after a completely unexpected race result: Herregodts (27, UAE Team Emirates - XRG) has surprisingly become the new national champion at Brasschaat. DENMARK. He announced his retirement at the end of the season and then immediately struck by winning the national title: Magnus Cort Nielsen (Uno-X Mobility) confirms his class and beats Anders Foldager of Jayco AlUla and Anton Charmig, also of Uno-X Mobility, in the sprint.
FRANCE. He was the great favorite, Romain Gregoire, and he did not disappoint: the twenty-three-year-old Groupama FDJ United rider finished 13 seconds ahead of Paul Lapeira of Decathlon CMA CGM and Joris Delbove of TotalEnergies.
SPAIN. First career victory for Marcel Camprubi. On the Aragonese side of the Pyrenees, an attack of 14 riders forms and is finally reduced to three: on the final climb, the Catalan from Pinarello Q36.5 beats Joel Nicolau (Caja Rural) and Urko Berrade (Kern Pharma), who wasted energy with many small accelerations.
GERMANY. Felix Engelhardt (Jayco AlUla) will wear the German champion's jersey at the Tour de France after beating in the sprint Lennart Jasch of Tudor and Nico Denz of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe.
AUSTRIA. Jersey and title for Michael Gogl (Alpecin Premier Tech) who beat Felix Grossschartner (UAE Emirates XRG) with Marco Schrettl of XdS Astana in third place.
PORTUGAL. Antonio Morgado (UAE Emirates XRG) signs the double and, after the time trial title, also conquers the road race title. Silver for Afonso Silva of Team Tavira and bronze for Rui Oliveira, the winner's teammate.
SWITZERLAND. UAE Emirates XRG also succeeds on Swiss soil with Jan Christen who finished well ahead of Valentin Darbellay (Elite Foundations Cycling Team) and Melk Zumstein of VC Mendrisio.
SLOVENIA. Dominance of Bahrain Victorious talents: title for Roman Ermakov and second place for Jakob Omrzel. Third position for Tilen Finkst of Solution Tech NIPPO Rali.
IRELAND. Seth Dunwoody of Bahrain Victorious Development wins the Irish title, beating Rory Townsend of Unibet Rose Sockets and Finn Crocket of Volkerwessel Cycling Team.
POLAND. Kasper Maciejuk (Voster Team) will wear the national champion's jersey for one year after finishing ahead of Piotr Pekala and Michal Pomorski, both of ATT Investments.
MALTA. Sunday opens with the second seasonal success for Polti VisitMalta. After the Crescioli-Pesenti double at the Giro dell'Appennino at the end of April, another double materializes against the clock on the Maltese Coast Road: Andrea Mifsud completes the 33-kilometer time trial in 38'02" ahead of his teammate (and three-time defending champion) Aidan Buttigieg.
CZECH REPUBLIC. After the time trial title, Mathias Vacek (Lidl – Trek) also wins the road race, beating Tomáš Přidal (Team United Shipping) and Jakub Otruba (Caja Rural - Seguros RGA).
JAPAN. It is Yuhi Todome of Aisan Racing Team who is the new national champion: victory by a large margin with Sohei Kaneko (Gunma Mammoth) second and Atsushi Oka (Astemo Utsunimiya Blitzen) third.
SLOVAKIA. Unibet Rose Rockets triumph again thanks to Lukáš Kubiš. The 26-year-old rider, already winner of the time trial, also won the national road championship, beating Richard Rišta of Hrinkow Advarics and Samuel Novák of Tirol KTM Cycling Team.
ESTONIA. Romet Pajur of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe becomes national champion, beating in the sprint Oskar Küüt of Quick Pro Team and Norman Vahtra of China Anta Mentech.
GREECE. Nikiforos Arvanitou, 23-year-old with Team United Shipping, has won his third consecutive Greek national road title.
SWEDEN. It is Hugo Forssell who is the Swedish champion: the CK Hymer rider beat in the sprint Amton Olars of Svealand Cycling Team and the elite Anton Karlsson.
CROATIA. Dominance of the elite with the victory of Luka Ivan Tomic and second place for Fran Bosnjak. Third place for Pogi Team Ljubljana's Nicolas Gojkovic.
ERITREA. Milkias Maekele (INEOS Grenadiers Racing Academy) wins the title and jersey, ahead of Henok Mulubrhan of XdS Astana and Natnael Tesfatsion of Movistar.
NORWAY. As expected, Uno-X Mobility monopolizes the podium: title for Anders Skaarseth, second place for Markus Hoelgaard and third for Jonas Abrahamsen.
LATVIA. The national champion is Martins Pluto of Energus Cycling Team, ahead of Krisians Belohvosciks (Bike Aid) and Maris Bogdanovics (FNIX - SCOM - Hengxiang Cycling Team).
TURKEY. Title for Feritcam Samli (Spor Toto Cycling Team) who finished over a minute ahead of Burak Abay (Konya Büyükşehir Belediye Spor) and Ahmet Orkem, the winner's teammate.
LITHUANIA. Tudor celebrates the title won by Aivaras Mikutis who got the better of Tokas Adomaitis and Rokas Kmieliakuskas, both of Energus Cycling Team.
ETHIOPIA. It is the elite Filimon Debay who wins the title ahead of Tekle Alemayo and Yared Teshla.
LAOS. The new national champion is Anxay Nilakong who finished well ahead of Volavath Phapho and Thepphasith Phomsouvanh.
MAURITIUS. Jeremy Raboude (elite) beats Aurelien De Comarmond (The Joyrun & Hurricane Cycling Team) and Daniel Yon Hin (7Eleven Cliqq Roadbike Philippines).
CAMEROON. Rodrigue Kuere Nounawe repeats the title won in the time trial, beating in a two-man sprint Sadikou Kossoko, with Clovic Kamzong in third place.
MONTENEGRO. Danilo Likovic becomes national champion, beating Milos Lazarevic and Jovan Vuckovic.
BRAZIL. Joao Pedro Rossi (Localiza Meoo / Swift Pro Cycling) beats Thiago Duarte (elite) and teammate Henrique Avancini.
SERBIA. The national champion is Veliko Stojnic of Team United Shipping, silver for Dorde Duric (Solution Tech NIPPO Rali) and bronze for Igor Davidov (elite).
HUNGARY. Title and jersey for Tamas Takacs of MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort who got the better of Balint Feldhoffer (Bahrain Victorious Devo) and Janos Pelikan (Team United Shipping).
MONACO. The championship was held jointly with the Spanish one and the title went to Victor Langellotti of Netcompany Ineos.
ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA. Abbiel Flemming wins the national champion title.
