Japan will be among the leading nations at the 29th edition of the Fiorenzuola International Grand Prix – 6 Days of the White Roses, scheduled for July 20-25 at the "Attilio Pavesi" Velodrome.
The Japanese selection returns to Fiorenzuola after being a major protagonist in previous editions, particularly in 2025, confirming the strong bond with the Piacenza event. The delegation will be led by coach Daniel Gisiger, a former Swiss track cyclist of international level.
Among the men, the names of Kazushige Kuboki, 2024 World Champion in Scratch, and Shunsuke Imamura, 2023 World bronze medalist in the Omnium, stand out. The team is completed by Naoki Kojima and Yoshiki Terada.
The women's team is also of the highest level, featuring Yumi Kajihara, 2020 World Champion in the Omnium and Olympic silver medalist at Tokyo 2021 in the same discipline. She will be joined by Tsuyaka Uchino, Mizuki Ikeda and Maho Kakita, all in the spotlight last year at Fiorenzuola.
Japan's presence represents a further element of prestige for an edition that will award valuable points for the rankings on which qualifications for the World Championships and Olympics depend.
