The Unbound Gravel represents for many the gravel race par excellence and also a benchmark for companies, always ready to innovate to give their athletes significant advantages to go faster and use less energy. In Kansas, the conditions of this twentieth edition made the course even tougher and more selective, which is why those who won it were certainly the strongest athletes and best supported, but no record for this season. In the Elite Men 200-mile category, Mads Würtz Schmidt triumphed on his new S-Works Crux 5, while Robin Gemperle won the XL 350-mile category on a Scott RC Gravel with 32-inch wheels.
