In Kansas, the conditions of this twentieth edition made the course even tougher and more selective, which is why those who won it were certainly the strongest athletes and best supported, but no record for this season. In the Elite Men 200-mile category, Mads Würtz Schmidt triumphed on his new S-Works Crux 5, while Robin Gemperle won the XL 350-mile category on a Scott RC Gravel with 32-inch wheels.
