New Zealand's Laurence Pithie capitalizes on his excellent form and, after winning Sunday's Rund um Köln, repeated his success today by taking the sprint victory on the first stage of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque-Grand Prix de Hauts-de-France. At the finish line of the Lagny-le-Sec - Laon stage, covering 175 km, the Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe rider edged out Frenchman Bryan Coquard (Cofidis) and British rider Lewis Askey (NSN Cycling Team).
