Lotto Intermarché finds no peace on the roads of the Giro. What seemed to be a resolved issue, referring to the virus contracted by several riders at the Famenne Ardenne Classic, is instead claiming victims: after the forced withdrawal of Arnaud De Lie that occurred yesterday in the fourth stage, today Milan Menten will not start.

In the statement issued by the team it reads: "Milan will not take the start of the fifth stage of the Giro d'Italia. Like several other riders on our team, he fell ill last week. Milan traveled to Bulgaria and then made his way to Italy in the hope of making a full recovery under the supervision of our medical staff, but unfortunately it was not possible. He still feels too unwell to continue the Giro".
