Decathlon CMA CGM, protagonist of a strong start to the season, now aims for an important role on the roads of the Giro d'Italia. It is coach Luke Roberts who illustrates the lineup chosen for the pink race: «The team has had a very important start to the season with prestigious results, both in sprints and in the mountains. In the Grand Tours our objective is to capitalize on this momentum and consolidate these excellent performances. We approach this race with two main objectives. We want to reach the podium in the general classification with Felix Gall. Felix has had solid preparation, with excellent performances at the UAE Tour and in Catalonia, and has been able to prepare himself optimally for the Giro. Also Gregor Mühlberger, Callum Scotson and Johannes Staune-Mittet are in good form and will be valuable in supporting him in the mountains. In the sprints, Tobias Lund Andresen has already demonstrated excellent form this season with three WorldTour victories, and we will target stage wins with him. Tord Gudmestad, Rasmus Søjberg Pedersen and Oliver Naesen will be key resources to bring him to the final sprint of the stage. Overall, several days will present opportunities and our goal will be to turn as many as possible into victories».
