Tadej Pogacar dominated the scene at the Tour de Romandie winning the final classification and four stages out of the six disputed (prologue included). A four-stage haul that in the history of this race had been achieved only by Swiss rider Ferdi Kubler in 1951. The Slovenian champion is also the second of all time to win the Swiss competition in the rainbow jersey, as only Belgian Eddy Merckx did in 1968.
With his first triumph at Romandie, Pogacar's total of stage races won since turning professional reaches 20. In his prestigious collection are 13 different competitions, including four Tours de France and one Giro d'Italia. In 2026, Tadej has already achieved 9 victories in just 11 racing days, all of them, moreover, in the World Tour. The tally includes four road races, four stage wins and one general classification.
The Slovenian leads the seasonal standings for the number of victories in the main UCI circuit, followed at six wins by Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard. Looking only at the 2026 World Tour races, France is the nation with the highest number of victories (12) and top-three finishes (30).
