The inaugural edition of Lyon-Turin, which had been included in the UCI international calendar from July 1st to 3rd, has been cancelled. Colleagues at Directvelo.fr report that the decision was announced by ExtraGiro organizers to the UCI, which proceeded to remove the event from the official calendar published on its website.
The race was supposed to take place over four stages (with two half-stages) across the three racing days, including a time trial. The organization had planned a collaboration between ExtraGiro and the French A-Vélo, which organizes the Tour de l'Avenir and the Tour de l'Ain. The French company is already working towards the 2027 edition of the race.
