For the 12th consecutive time, the Tirreno-Adriatico will start from Lido di Camaiore, once again with an individual time trial of 11.5 km. The route runs entirely along the seafront, is completely flat and from a technical standpoint presents few difficulties.

The race starts from Lido di Camaiore to reach Fiumetto and face here the only curves, necessary to draw the classic U-turn, and undertake the return route. This is followed by 5.3 km to return to Lido di Camaiore where an "S" shaped turn - right left with narrow roadway - leads into the final kilometer.

Clearly a time trial for specialists, and clearly Italian champion Filippo Ganna is one of the main favorites for victory and the conquest of the first blue jersey.
