Once again this year, the challenge "Three Days in Pink in the Lands of Granda" will take place. These are open races united by a points classification organized by Racconigi Cycling Team. The president Silvio Traversa and other managers of the Cuneo-based team presented the 3 races at the welcoming Castello di Fossano. Silvio Traversa and the rest of the staff made a special dedication to Commendator Lorenzo Tealdi. "He was able to inspire us with his vision and great passion – Silvio emphasized. It is thanks to his example and his love for cycling that we at Racconigi Cycling Team found the courage to organize the Three Days in Pink. Our most sincere gratitude goes to him for believing in cycling and the territory. And also for believing in us". Many cycling professionals knew Lorenzo Tealdi, known for bringing the Giro d'Italia of professionals for 17 consecutive years to stage races in the Cuneo Province. Lorenzo promoted other major initiatives in the Province of Cuneo linked to professional cycling (including the Gran Piemonte), as well as the Giro delle Valli Cuneesi for Elite and Under 23 and the National Meeting of Young Cyclists.
At the presentation of the Three Days in Pink in the Lands of Granda, authorities from the 2 main municipalities involved attended, namely Fossano and Racconigi, as well as some representatives from the Province of Cuneo and the Piedmont Region. Among the illustrious guests was the passionate Paolo Bongioanni, Sports Assessor of the Piedmont Region, a longtime great supporter of cycling. Representing the Italian Cycling Federation was Ivano Leone, vice-president of the Piedmont Regional Committee. The Three Days in Pink in the Lands of Granda 2025 achieved considerable success. In the April open race valid for the Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano Trophy – City of Fossano, sprinter Agata Campana celebrated victory, skillfully beating Elisa De Vallier, Michela De Grandis and the entire group on the straightaway adjacent to the sports facilities. The individual time trial valid for the Franco Traversa Memorial in Racconigi, in September, was won by Russian Valeriya Valgonen, with Giorgia Serena in second place and Anita Baima in third. In the Juniors classification, Italian Maria Acuti prevailed, with Russian Polina Danshina in second place.
Grand finale 24 hours later, also in Racconigi with the circuit race, over a total distance of 106.800 km. In the Inalpi Trophy – Annibale Viterie, Gaia Tormena of the Army Sports Center celebrated victory. In the sprint with compact ranks, the Valle d'Aosta native beat Hanna Tserakh (Belarus), and third was Valgonen, who skillfully acquired the points to triumph in the challenge.
For many years the Racconigi Cycling Team of president Silvio Traversa has managed women's Juniors competitive activity, with numerous triumphs at the Worlds, Europeans and Italian Championships in various disciplines. Now the association is involved in organizing events with great satisfaction.
In the 2026 edition of the "Three Days in Pink" challenge, the Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano Trophy – City of Fossano is confirmed as the opening race. Sunday, April 12, the open race will take place over a distance of 94 km. Competitors from the Elite, Under 23 and Juniors categories will initially repeat 6 times a wide-radius circuit. In the final they will have to face 4 short ones. Via Soracco will be the starting and finishing straightaway of the race. Start at 1 p.m.
Saturday, September 12 in Racconigi there will be the individual time trial, always 2850 meters; the first competitor will start at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 13 will see the 13th Inalpi Dairies Trophy – Annibale Viterie (still 106.800 km) in circuit. A first phase on a long loop, 8 laps, plus another 4 short ones in the final.
At the end of each race there will be the awarding of the leader's jersey. For the Elite, the white jersey sponsor is Inalpi Dairies. The white-blue Juniors jersey will be branded Annibale Viterie. There is also the light blue-white jersey for intermediate sprints with the Banca CRS brand. Girls participating in all races will be able to compete for the final classification. In each race, 100 points will be awarded to the winner, 90 to the second-placed rider, 80 for 3rd place, 70 for 4th, 60 for 5th, then 30 points from 6th to last. Athletes who withdraw will be awarded 15 points.
