Davide Donati dominates the general classification (also among young riders) of the Italy Regions Cup, confirming himself as a protagonist of the season with 110 points. Behind him, Gianmarco Garofoli and Filippo Zana are competing for the top positions, with Zana also leading in the combativity classification. Among the climbers, Tommaso Dati stands out, while Bardiani CSF 7 Saber leads the team standings ahead of MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort and General Store - Essegibi - F.lli Curia.

The assessment from President Roberto Pella: "We have demonstrated Italian organizational quality with great teamwork. The teams appreciated the race. The Giro di Sardegna was the best possible showcase for a territory where we discovered both well-known and lesser-known places. For this reason, we thank President Alessandra Todde, Assessor Franco Cuccureddu, the mayors involved, and UEC President Enrico Della Casa, who believed in the project. We received positive feedback from around the world. From a technical standpoint, we gave Italian young riders and our teams the opportunity to showcase themselves. The results speak for themselves. Now we have other races ahead, with a 2026 calendar full of appointments.”

Alessandra Todde, President of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, adds: “We traveled through eight provinces and around a hundred municipalities, between coast and inland areas, which gave us a great edition of the Giro di Sardegna. The assessment can be read in the faces of the people we met along the roads, happy about what was accomplished and about Sardinia being seen by millions of people worldwide through many beautiful postcards. It wasn't just about the sporting aspect, but also an extraordinary promotion of the territories, which helps us understand once again how special Sardinia is. The appointment is for next year. The president of the Cycling League, Roberto Pella, knows that we need continuity: this will allow us to work better and teams to choose Sardinia also as a training location.”
