Jonas Vingegaard will line up at Paris-Nice again (March 8-15). In a post published on social media, his team, Visma-Lease a Bike, confirmed the Danish rider's participation in the 84th edition of the Race to the Sun.
"I am excited to be at the start of Paris-Nice again. It is a prestigious race with a rich history - Vingegaard said through his team - As a team, we have a title to defend".
The Danish rider finished third at Paris-Nice in 2023, while he was forced to withdraw in 2025 after a crash during the fifth stage. His team, in the last edition, won the race anyway, with Matteo Jorgenson triumphing for the second consecutive year. Jonas Vingegaard has not yet raced this season: he was initially expected at the UAE Tour, but then withdrew due to a training crash and illness.
The Danish rider will compete for the first time this year at the Giro d'Italia where he aims for the pink jersey, and then at the Tour de France, where his objective is to beat Pogacar and win the Grande Boucle for the third time.
