Another world record falls at the Turkish velodrome in Konya. The women's team pursuit national squad has set a new mark: Katie Archibald, Josie Knight, Anna Morris, and Millie Couzens pedaled in 4.02.808. The British team had already beaten the previous record - 4'04.242 held by the German team of Brausse, Brennauer, Klein, and Kroger from August 2021 - during the qualification round, clocking 4.03.634.
This is the third world record to fall in just two days of competition in Konya: earlier in the afternoon, we witnessed the achievements of Emma Funicane, who set the 200 meters record, and the Danish men's team pursuit squad.
