Saturday, January 24, 2026, the "Way of the Cross and Way of Light" will be inaugurated, in Palù di Giovo, thanks to the community of Giovo, in memory of Sara Piffer.

A date that is not coincidental, because it celebrates one year since her passing, and precisely these days the Judge in Trento has set the preliminary hearing, following the prosecutor's request for trial: the charge is vehicular homicide (art. 589 bis first paragraph of the criminal code).

We do not believe this is by chance, and once again Sara sends strong signals, like her journey, full of memory and all the values she was able to convey before and after January 24, 2025.

Those who, like us, have known Sara's family, have also known her, through her drawings, her poems, her restorations, her social commitment, and cannot have remained unaffected by the strong faith and positivity that her parents, Lorenzo and Marianna, and her brothers Loris, Gabriele and Christian, manage to instill, striking directly to the heart.

These days discussions are ongoing about Road Code reform, about how to better protect all cyclists on the roads, and with this event Sara calls the legislator to the ultimate purpose of the law, which is to impact people's behaviors and sensitivity, interrupting dangerous driver conduct, the cause of all victims like Sara, children, fathers, mothers, brothers.

Our task, and the commitment we made to Sara's family, is that this tragedy can mark a true change, in favor of the safety of those who use two wheels, we promised this to Sara and her family, becoming advocates of her values, of her love for cycling, of the message intended for all those who get behind the wheel, so that they always have before them her smile and her desire to live.
