Soudal Quick-Step reaffirms, if there was ever any doubt, that they see Paul Magnier as a fundamental asset for the upcoming seasons. This was confirmed by the team's own announcement of the contract extension until 2029 for the young French talent, who in 2025, at just 21 years old, managed to secure 19 victories and became the second most winning rider of the season after Tadej Pogacar.
These results, combined with the broad growth prospects of the Trinity Racing product, have prompted Soudal to secure the 2004 Laredo-born rider, making him the first rider in the current roster with a contract expiring in four years.
"These first two seasons with the team have been incredible. I love the atmosphere in the group, the bond that has been created with riders and staff, and I feel enormous support and confidence from everyone. Moreover, here I have the best possible conditions to give my best. After a season with 19 victories, it means a lot to know that the team believes in me and wants to continue growing together. I'm proud to continue my journey with the Wolfpack for the next four years," Magnier declared through the team's official channels.
"The team has continued to strengthen its classics lineup, and this gives me enormous confidence to continue progressing in this direction. Being surrounded by so many experienced riders is incredibly valuable for my development, and I want to make the most of this aspect because my goal is to continue improving and winning races, not just this season, but consistently in the years to come," continued the ambitious French sprinter, whose extension was naturally well-received by the Soudal management.
"Paul is a rider with exceptional talent and an extraordinary competitive instinct. Since becoming a professional, he has demonstrated a maturity and natural leadership beyond his years, which, combined with his hunger and ambition, we truly appreciate at Soudal Quick-Step," said CEO Jurgen Foré.
"His results speak for themselves, but equally important are his mentality and his willingness to learn, grow, and lead the team. The contract renewal was a clear and certain decision for us. Paul represents a fundamental pillar of our future, and we are excited to continue growing and winning together in the long term," concluded the Belgian team's top executive, who hopes to see Magnier pick up where he left off at the last Tour of Guangxi, raising his arms to the sky.
With this goal, Magnier will line up at the start of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana and Volta ao Algarve in the first part of the season, before heading to the classics (including Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, E3 Saxo Classic, In Flanders Fields, and Dwars door Vlaanderen) and subsequently shifting his aims to the 2026 Giro d'Italia.
