The 61st Vuelta al Tachira kicks off today from San Cristobal, Venezuela. It is the first stage race of the 2026 international UCI calendar. The race will take place over ten stages, concluding in San Cristobal on January 18th, covering a total of 1,533 kilometers. At the start are teams from Central and South America, with the Colombian GW Erco SportFitness standing out, which just recently inaugurated the new season by winning the traditional Circuito de Manizales with Johan Colon. No European teams among the participants.
