Lucinda Brand continues to dominate the Women's Elite Cyclocross World Cup, which took place today in Gavere, Belgium. The Dutch rider wins her seventh stage and further strengthens her lead in the UCI World Championships Challenge ranking. Brand took command of the race in the final two laps, breaking away from the challenging company of French rider Amandine Fouquenet and her compatriot Puck Pieterse.
A solo victory for the 36-year-old from Oue Beuerland of the Baloise Glowi Lions, who finished ahead of Fouquenet and Pieterse by a handful of seconds. Fourth place went to Hungarian Va, fifth to Van Alpgen, and sixth to the very young French rider Gery.
