Good performance by the Italians in the third stage of the Junior Cyclocross World Cup held in Koksijde, Belgium. Filippo Grigolini and Patrik Pezzo Rosola finished in fifth and sixth positions in a race that was intense from the very beginning. European champion Grigolini (Team Cingolani Specialized) remained at the front for a couple of laps until the reaction of the Belgian and Dutch riders became evident. The winner was Belgian Giel Lejeune, a 17-year-old from Rotselaar in Flanders, ahead of the two Dutch riders Delano Heeren and Cas Timmermans. Fourth was the Spaniard Noval, who preceded Grigolini and Pezzo Rosola by about thirty seconds. In the top twenty, Dell'Olio (15th) and Tommaso Cingolani (20th), while Giovanni Bosio finished in 22nd place.
