Holidays are over and teams are gathering for the first winter training camp, and while the last riders are packing their bags, there are those who have decided to study next year's race routes. Among these is Tadej Pogacar, who headed to France to ride on the pavé of the Paris-Roubaix.
The Slovenian returned to the cobblestones of northern France for another reconnaissance of the Paris-Roubaix route and was spotted crossing the legendary Carrefour de l'Arbre with some of his UAE Team Emirates XRG teammates. Second last year in his first participation, the Slovenian seems to have already refined his form before returning to the Roubaix roads. It's no secret that Pogacar wants to win both Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix in 2026, the two Monument Classics still missing from his palmares.
Pogacar has proven to be worthy of his status as the world's best cyclist, and everyone is convinced he can conquer both the first Monument Classic of the year and Paris-Roubaix. Last spring, we saw him glued to Mathieu van der Poel's wheel, and that second place both frustrated him greatly and convinced him he could win the Hell of the North.
Everyone knows that Pogacar doesn't like losing, and when it happens, he doesn't get demoralized but finds the right motivation to make amends at the first opportunity. In his career, the Slovenian has achieved 10 victories in Monument Classics, with 5 consecutive wins at the Giro di Lombardia (record for consecutive victories), 3 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, and 2 Tours of Flanders.
