Brugherio (MB) is ready to welcome the Italian Cyclocross Championships on January 10 and 11, 2026 at Parco Increa. The event was presented today at Palazzo Lombardia, in the presence of Stefano Pedrinazzi, president of the Lombardy Regional Committee of the Italian Cycling Federation, the mayor of Brugherio, Roberto Assi, and organizers Paolo, Alessandro, and Monica Guerciotti. An important national-level event for the sector, organized by two reference realities, Fas Airport Services Guerciotti Premac and the Mtb Increa sports society of Brugherio.

A few years after the last edition hosted in the region, cyclocross returns to Lombardy, confirming its centrality in the national discipline landscape. The 2026 edition will also be valid as the 46th Guerciotti GP and the 16th Brugherio CX International.

During the presentation, the Undersecretary to the Presidency with delegation for Sports and Youth, Federica Picchi, brought her greetings. "A precious appointment for sports and fundamental for cyclocross," she said in a video message. "Cyclocross returns to Lombardy thanks to the joint work of a historic reality like Guerciotti and a small but extraordinary local association like MTB Increa. I thank the Italian Cycling Federation and the organizers. An adrenaline-fueled sport that involves young people and allows us to discover the different areas where sport is the protagonist in our region. I also thank the Municipality of Brugherio and its mayor Roberto Assi for making Parco Increa available, a redeveloped public space that will become the ideal setting for a national-level sporting event. I wish to thank the president of the Lombardy Regional FCI Committee, Stefano Pedrinazzi, the presidents of the organizing societies, Paolo Guerciotti and Rosa Di Gioia, and especially the volunteers who will work on the field to ensure the perfect execution of the event. Without their constant commitment, events of this magnitude would not be possible".

"This Championship," said Mayor Roberto Assi, "is more than an event; at stake is the theme of educating and self-educating. In a historical moment when there is a great need for educators. Those organizing this race have been able to create a strong relationship with the community, and this will be understood from the effect the event will have. It will not only be a prestigious appointment but an opportunity to educate through effort, respect for the opponent, and rules." The review will involve all federal categories over the two days of racing, Juniors, Under 23, Elite, and Amateurs.

Team manager of Fas Airport Services-Guerciotti-Premac is Alessandro Guerciotti: "Just two years later, we are returning to organize an Italian Championship," he adds, "and as always, we will face the event as an organizing society and also as a team protagonist in the race. The Brugherio course is one of the most spectacular in the national circuit and will be enhanced by great television coverage, worthy of an international-scale event".

Enthusiasm and pride also from the local committee: "Hosting the Italian Cyclocross Championships at Parco Increa is a source of great emotion for us," states Rosa Di Gioia, president of MTB Increa Brugherio. "The course, made unique by the variety of terrain and the natural setting, is the result of years of experience and collaboration. Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Brugherio, the Italian Cycling Federation, and all volunteers, we are certain it will be an unforgettable edition".

The Italian Cyclocross Championships will be broadcast live on TV by Rai and the main cycling-dedicated web platforms.
