His friendliness, technical preparation, and especially his ability to connect with younger athletes have earned him the esteem and appreciation of the most prestigious professional teams. Under his guidance, athletes of the caliber of Peter Sagan, Elia Viviani, Jacopo Guarnieri, and many others matured and entered the top category with the Liquigas Team. In the recent past, Biagio Conte was among the sports directors of the Professional team, first Eolo Kometa and then Polti Kometa.
