The Solme Olmo prepares to face the 2026 season, which will mark the historic entry of the light blue formation into the Continental team club, with the goal of carrying out an important and prestigious international activity. The Treviso team gathered over the weekend at their headquarters in San Biagio di Callalta (Tv) for the first seasonal meeting, functional for mutual acquaintance and training planning.
In addition to the six confirmed Christian Fantini, Armin Caselli, Lorenzo Marangoni, Lorenzo Anniballi, Riccardo Uderzo and Alessandro Dante, a block of five athletes led by DS Gaetano Zanetti, who in this season defended the colors of Arvedi Cycling, will also be part of this new and exciting adventure. In 2026, they will wear the Solme Olmo jersey: the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Champion, Francesco Lamon, the European and World Junior Champion 2024, Eros Sporzon and, with them, Niccolò Galli, Jacopo Sasso and Luca Patuelli.
An important agreement reached by Gian Pietro Forcolin that will also include the entry of the prestigious Arvedi brand among Solme Olmo's partners: "The understanding with Massimo Rabbaglio and Rossano Grazioli from Arvedi Group was immediate and, I am convinced, will bring great satisfaction to everyone. We are happy and proud to welcome athletes of absolute caliber, track specialists capable of making their mark on the road. In addition to Olympic Champion Francesco Lamon, who certainly needs no introduction, thanks to this important union, some of the most interesting young talents in the national panorama who have already distinguished themselves in international events will join our roster".
An ambitious and far-sighted move by Solme Olmo that also brings the junior team of Pool Cantù GB Team, managed by Team Manager Antonio Meroni and former professional Gianluca Bortolami, into the orbit of the Treviso company: an authentic nursery of promising young athletes that has been operating successfully in the junior category for years. As part of this operation, Julian Bortolami and Luca Morlino will already debut among the Under 23s with Solme Olmo in 2026: a pair of juniors who have snatched prestigious results and unanimous consensus among insiders over the past two years.
"For several years with Arvedi Cycling, we have been the home of the Italian track athletes, promoting alternation between road and track activities. The results have proven us right, and we have collected several satisfactions at national and international levels. 2026 will mark a further step forward for us: by becoming part of a continental team like Solme Olmo, our athletes will have the opportunity to race consistently in professional events with the goal of performing well and putting valuable kilometers in their legs to continue being protagonists on the track," anticipated Rossano Grazioli from Arvedi Group.
"We entrust Solme Olmo with two of the most representative athletes of our 2025 formation to accompany them among the Under 23s within a solid and ambitious project like the one carried forward by Gian Pietro Forcolin," added former professional Gianluca Bortolami. "Solme Olmo is a team that has grown gradually in recent years and is approaching the continental world with all the necessary tools to continue winning. We are certain that this understanding can continue in the future with the aim of allowing our young talents to land in an ideal environment to mature without too much pressure".
