The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè has officially announced the seven athletes who will take part in the Veneto Classic, scheduled for Sunday, October 19, the last race of the Italian calendar.
The race confirms a route similar to previous editions, with a start in Soave and finish in Bassano del Grappa, but with a slightly reduced overall distance: 180.5 kilometers, about fifteen less than in 2024.
The course, however, maintains its key points unchanged. After an initial flat section, the group will face the famous cobblestone wall of La Tisa (330 meters at 15.2%), now one of the symbols of the race, followed by the La Rosina climb (2.1 km at 6.5%), which will be covered twice within the 12.6-kilometer Marostica circuit.
The lineup will be composed of the same athletes deployed in the Giro del Veneto, with only one variation: replacing Martín Herreño will be the Tuscan Filippo Magli. Completing the team are Filippo Turconi, the Treviso native Alex Tolio, Luca Paletti, Matteo Scalco, Alessandro Pinarello, and Manuele Tarozzi. Directing the athletes from the team car will be sports directors Roberto Reverberi and Alessandro Donati.
The Veneto Classic will be broadcast live on Rai 2 starting at 3:55 PM and streaming on Discovery Plus.
