A flurry of announcements for Decathlon AG2r La Mondiale as they prepare to undergo a profound change for the next season when the team will take on the name DECATHLON CMA CGM. The three-year signing of Dutch sprinter Olav Kooij (coming from Visma Lease a Bike) is now official, who will be able to count on his compatriot Cees Bol, arriving from XDS Astana, and Belgian Robbe Ghys, currently with Alpecin Deceuninck.
Alongside them will come Dutch time trial champion Daan Hoole, currently at Lidl Trek, while the team's second sprinter will be Danish rider Tobias Lund Andresen, currently with Team Picnic PostNL.
Sebastien Joly, head of sports strategy for the French team, explains: "With these additions, we know we will have the ability to obtain more WorldTour victories in the next season. Olav is a young but already experienced and winning sprinter: our goal is to work with him to help him grow in the coming years so he can conquer the most important milestones in the world sprinter calendar".
