After five seasons with Intermarché – Wanty, Biniam Girmay is reportedly about to change teams. According to some cycling transfer market rumors, the 25-year-old Eritrean sprinter has received a three-year contract offer from the management of Israël-Premier Tech.
If these rumors are confirmed, patron Sylvan Adams and his team – which should change its name to simply Premier Tech from 2026 – could count on one of the strongest athletes in the group for sprint finishes, capable of winning three stages and the green jersey at the 2024 Tour de France.
Obviously, the official confirmation of this market move is not yet available, but additional hints were recently provided by Alex Carera, Girmay's agent, who posted a photo with the cyclist on his social media profiles with the caption "His future is clearer from today".
