Another Milan is joining the professional ranks. Groupama-FDJ has announced the signing of Matteo Milan, Jonathan's brother, with a three-year contract starting from the 2026 season. Matteo Milan's arrival perfectly aligns with Groupama-FDJ's long-term vision: investing in young talents, building careers, and promoting an aggressive and authentic cycling style. Three seasons to learn, grow, and dream bigger.
Milan's words: "My career started at the age of 5, thanks to my father. My journey has been full of ups and downs because I wasn't entirely sure what type of cyclist I wanted to become. But this year, I found certainty: I want to be a sprinter. I chose to join the great Groupama-FDJ family because, from the first conversations, they showed genuine interest and great confidence in me. I'm happy to start this new chapter of my life with them. The team has supported me from the beginning and, most importantly, we share the same vision for my development: to progress, grow, and find satisfaction in the work we do. I hope the first months will allow me to adapt to the WorldTour level, find my rhythm, and maybe even achieve some good results. I can't wait to start this new adventure."
Philippe Mauduit's statement: "Matteo's arrival at Groupama-FDJ perfectly matches our philosophy: supporting young talented riders in their development with a clear and shared vision. Matteo is a determined young man who took the time to understand himself and define what he wants to become. Today he joins us with a clear ambition: to become a sprinter. This is a measured approach that we deeply respect and are committed to supporting. What also struck us is his maturity. He is not trying to rush things, but rather to learn, grow, and engage in a long-term process. He will benefit from a stable environment, strong guidance, and a united team around him to help him reach new milestones. This is the beginning of an adventure we want to build together with patience, ambition, and high standards."
