
The penultimate evening of the Fiorenzuola International Grand Prix - 6 Days of White Roses delivered emotions and spectacle, with a large audience at the "Attilio Pavesi" Velodrome. Italy shone once again thanks to Olympic athlete Chiara Consonni and Martina Fidanza, who conquered an exciting Madison race. And then with Matteo Fiorin, first in the Elite Elimination.
WOMEN'S ELITE MADISON GP SIDERPIGHI - CONSONNI-FIDANZA IN THE FINAL SPRINT!
Chiara Consonni and Martina Fidanza won the Women's Elite Madison (Siderpighi Grand Prix), delivering a masterful performance. After a long duel with Germans Lea Lin Teutenberg and Messane Bräutigam, the Italian pair made the decisive move in the final sprint, thanks to an extraordinary progression by Fidanza that earned 10 crucial points. With 32 total points, they beat the Germans (29) and the pair Valeriya Valgonen–Polina Danshina (16).
MEN'S ELITE SCRATCH GP PADANA IMPIANTI - WALSH WINS IN A SPRINT
Australian Liam Walsh triumphed in the Elite Scratch (Padana Impianti Grand Prix), regulating a group of important names in a sprint finish. He preceded world champion Kazushige Kuboki, who had to settle for second place. Third was the Italian Matteo Fiorin, already prominent at the youth level, who confirmed his talent among the Elite. A hard-fought race, decided only in the final curves.
MEN'S ELITE ELIMINATION GP PAVINORD - FIORIN COMPLETED THE CELEBRATION
Matteo Fiorin closed the evening in style, winning the Men's Elite Elimination (Pavinord Grand Prix). After third place in the Scratch, the young Italian managed every phase of the race perfectly, winning in the final head-to-head against Kazushige Kuboki, who collected his second silver of the evening. Ilya Savekin also made the podium. Fiorin confirmed his excellent form with this double.
BEGINNERS POINTS RACE ROTARY CLUB FIORENZUOLA CUP - VICTORY BY PIETRO SAVERI
The program opened with the Beginners Points Race (Rotary Club Fiorenzuola Cup), where Pietro Saveri (Torrile) prevailed over Luca Gregori (Velo Club Cremonese) after a well-managed performance. Gregori, from Caorso, tried to respond to attacks but had to settle for second place. Pietro Bonini (Ronco Maurigi) came third, completing an all-Emilian podium of excellent technical level.
TONIGHT the event's grand finale with Male and Female Juniors on track in the late afternoon, then from 8 PM, a "race" of Young Cyclists, the Assiprime GP, which will color the Velodrome while waiting for the two great final races: the Women's Elite Points Race, valid as BFT Memorial Alberto Burzoni GP, and the Men's Elite Madison - Siderpighi GP.
