
The 2025 edition of the Fiorenzuola International Grand Prix - 6 Days of White Roses opened yesterday, the great track cycling event with athletes from around the world. The first day, as well as tomorrow's, was reserved for Under 23 athletes, young talents who immediately put on a show.
UNDER 23 POINTS RACE - GP ALU TECNO: VIKTOR BUGAENKO WINS
In the Alu Tecno Grand Prix, the opening race of the Fiorenzuola International Grand Prix, an immediate high pace with a race over 50 km/h average. The Under 23 points race saw a clear victory for Viktor Bugaenko, who managed to gain a lap together with Ilya Savekin, who finished second. Third place went to Daniil Kazakov. The first Italian, Matteo Fiorin, finished seventh.
WOMEN'S UNDER 23 SCRATCH - GP BUSSANDRI: EUROPEAN CHAMPION WINS
The German Messane Bräutigam honored her European champion jersey, winning the Women's Under 23 Scratch (GP Bussandri) with a clear display of strength. Behind her, her compatriot Sina Temmen, while Polish athlete Maja Tracka completed the podium. A very fast race, with an average speed over 47 km/h. Italian Vittoria Grassi finished in sixth place.
UNDER 23 ELIMINATION - GP ROSSETTI MARKET: FIRST ITALIAN JOY WITH DAVIDE STELLA
The first Italian success of the evening came in the Rossetti Market GP with Davide Stella's victory in the Men's Under 23 Elimination race. The Friulian, born in 2006, registered with UAE Team Emirates Gen Z, beat the tough Grigorii Skorniakov in a sprint, while the third step of the podium went to Daniil Zarakovskiy. "Racing in Fiorenzuola for the first time was exciting" Stella said after the finish.
WOMEN'S UNDER 23 MADISON - GP SIDERPIGHI: GERMANY GOLD AGAIN WITH BRÄUTIGAM-LITTBARSKI
In the Siderpighi GP, Women's Under 23 Madison, another triumph for Germany thanks to the pair formed by Messane Bräutigam and Seana Littbarski-Gray, who dominated with 43 points. Bräutigam, already winner of the Scratch, thus signed a splendid personal double. Second place for Danshina-Valgonen, while bronze went to the Japanese Mizuki Ikeda and Maho Kakita, protagonists of an excellent consistency.
Presenting the athletes during the evening, in addition to the representatives of the sponsors involved (Paolo Orsi for Alu Tecno, Christian and Federica Bussandri for the Bussandri GP) were the Mayor of Fiorenzuola Romeo Gandolfi, the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Piacenza Mario Dadati and the President of the Emilia-Romagna FCI Committee Pier Luigi De Vitis.
