Starting this year, the Veneto Tour will also have a women's honor roll. The pink version of the classic race founded in 1909 will debut in the calendar on October 15th under the name Veneto Women. The operation bears the signature of Filippo Pozzato and his PP Sport Events, the organization that, in addition to organizing the men's Veneto Tour on the same day, is working on setting up the fifth edition of Veneto Classic for professionals, scheduled for Sunday, October 19th.
Veneto Women will be a category 1.1 race, thus open to World Tour teams. Both the Veneto Tour and Veneto Women will start in Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza and end in Verona. The finale will take place on the Torricelle circuit, the climb used in the 1999 and 2004 World Championship road races. The professionals will complete five laps, while the women will conclude after two rounds. For both competitions, the finish line will be located on Corso Porta Nuova, not far from the Arena.
There are also some new features in the Veneto Classic program. In this case too, Verona and Vicenza will join hands: the start is planned in Soave and the grand finale in the center of Bassano del Grappa. Compared to previous editions, the territory of Breganze will also be included in the route. The Tisa, the 'wall' with a stone surface in Colceresa, will be climbed six times instead of five. The now traditional laps with the Rosina climb and the ascents to Diesel Farm and Contra' Soarda are confirmed before the arrival in Piazza Libertà in Bassano, where last year Danish rider Magnus Cort Nielsen celebrated after a long breakaway. Previous editions were won by Davide Formolo (2023), Marc Hirschi (2022), and Samuele Battistella (2021).
