ALPECIN-DECEUNINK. 8. Two stage wins, five days in the yellow jersey with Philipsen taking the first in Lille and Van der Poel the other four in two different moments. Many breakaways, much battling, especially the flying Dutchman (Holland, two victories, against Slovenia's four) who is now also fighting for the green jersey: poor Milan...
INTERMARCHÈ-WANTY. 4. Only one retired, Zimmermann, a few too many crashes, but only three top-ten placements, with Girmay, 2nd in the first stage. Last place in the team special classification.
UNO X MOBILITY. 9. Nine top-ten placements, a stage win with Abrahansen, a race conduct appreciable from every point of view. It's one of the revelation teams of this Tour. They are among the youngest: long live youth.
TEAM TOTALENERGIES. 5. It's such a Tour, for such a team. They would have good potential, but in this demanding, fierce, fast race, they too are out of sync. Perhaps they would do well to think about the Giro, because the Tour is for the few (this applies to many, not just them). I almost forgot: three top-ten placements.
TUDOR PROCYCLING TEAM. 6.5. They haven't won, but they've been seen. They put heart and determination into it. They tried to reverse the course and the wheel didn't always turn in the right direction. Eight placements and some victories missed by a hair's breadth: also due to lack of communication.
GROUPAMA FDJ. 6. They're there, at least they're not lost. Both Martin and Madouas are in the top 20 and they've brought home some placements (6). But as they say: they can give more.
TEAM VISMA LEASE A BIKE. 9. Eighteen placements in 15 stages, with a victory thanks to Simon Yates. The captain, Jonas Vingegaard, is there, behind Tadej. Not close, but not far either. He wants to fight until the end and this makes him more than likable. Thanks Jonas, whatever happens.
INEOS GRENADIERS. 6.5. Carlos Rodriguez is 9th overall, six placements, a victory brought home by Aresman that gave meaning not only to this Dutchman's Tour, but to the entire Ineos TotalEnergie. Last week: they seem ready to raise their ambitions.
UAE TEAM EMIRATES XRG. 10. At the moment, there's little to say. In this second week, the team has also shown to be absolutely on point, far from Visma being super and UAE with only Tadej. Pogacar is from another dimension, the team has the right dimension to stand beside the world champion in the yellow jersey. For the accounting, fourteen placements in 15 stages, with five victories in the bag. And the work is not over yet: it's not a threat.
TEAM PICNIC POSTNL. 9. Onley you is the new song of this French summer. The Scottish kid I really like, for how he has ridden and defended himself so far. He's 4th overall. Moreover, the team can boast a more than flattering 11th place in the team classification and the beauty of nine placements that say a lot about how the entire team has moved around this fantastic twenty-two-year-old boy.
DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE. 6.5. A race of judgment and excellent tactical lucidity. A 7th place overall with Gall, and six placements to complement. A team always in the thick of the contest, to stay alive.
ARKEA B&B HOTELS. 8. They may be at their last race or the final rush of their cycling experience, but they are clearly one of the great surprises of the 2025 Tour. Vauquelin is 5th, the team is always on point, as if more than many big teams. Eight placements, for an 8/10 Tour.
XDS ASTANA. 5. Suffering, lots of suffering. Few initiatives, in a Tour that rewards the bold. They collect the misery of three placements, two are Italian: Ballerini and Velasco.
LOTTO. 4. It's a Tour that mortifies and leaves little to others. It exalts some teams - very few - and leaves the rest of the group breathless. Here, even a breakaway is a stage success, even when it doesn't arrive. Everything is exasperated, even failures. Four placements.
SOUDAL QUICK-STEP. 7. They must swallow the bitterness of a not heavy, but extremely heavy withdrawal. Without Evenepoel, they remain with Tim Merlier, who has already won two stages and could update the accounting. Victories to their credit for Davide Bramati's team? Three, not few.
LIDL TREK. 7. They collected less than they deserved, entering breakaways and various actions multiple times. A high-level team that confirms their stature. Green jersey with Jonny, stage win always with the Friulian champion. Six placements, although the real disappointment is for Skjielmose, who retired when he was already lost.
BAHRAIN VICTORIUS. 5.5. The first is Santiago Buitrago, who is two hours from the yellow jersey: with calm. The positive note? Lenny Martinez, who currently has the polka dot jersey on his shoulders. Is it enough? For me, no.
ISRAEL PREMIER TECH. 4. Michael Woods is also almost two hours away, for the rest not present. Three placements, a race conduct that is little proactive, little courageous, with riders who could have made the classification.
RED BULL BORA HANSGROHE. 8. Lipowitz is 3rd, Roglic is 6th, in the team classification they are in third place after two weeks of Tour ridden in any case with great generosity and sense of history. Many placements (9), much agonism put on the field, much work still to be done this week.
MOVISTAR TEAM. 4. Enric Mas is almost an hour from the yellow jersey, he would have been the man of experience and reference. Around him, everyone got a bit lost.
TEAM JAYCO ALULA. 6. O'Connor is 12th and has the opportunity to climb back up in the classification. Generous race for Brent Copeland's boys, to whom perhaps a success is missing, narrowly missed with Schmid. Plapp is working hard, O'Connor dreams of something more.
EF EDUCATION EASYPOST. 7.5. They won a stage with Ben Healy, wore the yellow jersey always with the Irishman, ridden with courage and determination. As they say in these cases: they made themselves seen. We'll see them again.
COFIDIS. 4. A Giro to forget, a Tour up to this moment that has no reason to be remembered. Only one placement (8th stage: 7th Coquard). I don't think I need to say anything else.
THE ORGANIZATION. 4. I struggle to see the old and dear board and for this I ask for help from home, to all of you, who have a thousand eyes. Alaphilippe didn't have the radio, but a board would have been very useful for the group of immediate pursuers to know the gap from Wellens and Campenaerts (same thing happened to Van der Poel a few stages ago). Nothing, I saw nothing. For the moment I give a 4 to the organization - on suspicion -, waiting for your feedback. If you've spotted it, this time I'll end up behind the board.
