Three-quarters of the stage will be on flat or slightly undulating roads, but at the -45 km marker the situation will change radically: the climb of Col du Soulor from the Ferrière side begins: an ascent of 11.9 km at an average gradient of 7.3%. Immediately after comes the Col de Bordères, short but severe (3.5 km at 7.7%) to finish with the final climb to Hautacam: the final climb measures 13.6 km at 7.8%. No surprises, we await the big names to take center stage.
