Francesco Cornacchini, Alessio Magagnotti, Riccardo Colombo and Francesco Matteoli (with Ruben Ferrari who pedaled in qualification) are the new European team pursuit champions. In the final, they rode in 3:55.635, beating Great Britain's Hinds, Gravelle, Hobbs, Thompson (and Jones). Bronze went to Germany, which defeated Switzerland in the small final.

In the women's event, in the same specialty, Linda Sanarini, Elisa Bianchi, Matilde Rossignoli and Chantal Pegolo (with Charlie Holt who pedaled in qualification) won silver, beaten in the final by the British riders Taylor, Miller, Boothman and Smith, who set a new world record of 4:20.536. In the bronze final, Germany defeated Spain.
