The UCI announces that the UCI Anti-Doping Tribunal has issued a decision regarding Dutch rider Antwan Tolhoek. The Tribunal found the rider guilty of an anti-doping rule violation (presence of androgenic anabolic steroids*) and imposed a four-year period of ineligibility on the rider.
In compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code and UCI Anti-Doping Rules, the suspension period began on February 7, 2024, and will remain in effect until February 6, 2028.
In line with the Tribunal's procedural rules, the decision will be published on the UCI website. This decision can be appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) within one month.
The UCI will not comment further on the matter.
* Androgenic anabolic steroids are prohibited substances listed in class S1.1 of the Prohibited List maintained by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and adopted by the UCI.
