A severe loss has struck the family of our colleague Mariangela Codenotti, a valuable reference point for youth cycling: her mother Caterina Faustini Codenotti has passed away.

A straightforward and sunny person, with a smile always ready to share with everyone, Mrs. Caterina was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother: seven children, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren coloring her life. And lots of cycling.

Her husband Andrea, who passed away prematurely many years ago, was a sports director for Sant'Eustachio and other Brescia teams and passed on his passion to three children - Giovanni, Ezio, and Paolo - who raced, just as his grandchildren Andrea, Katia, Simone, and Daniele did.

The funeral will be celebrated Thursday morning at 9:30 am in the church of Gussago.
