The third and final stage of the Tour de Malopolska, which took the peloton from Nowy Makow to Przehyba, was chaotic. The jury neutralized the main group during the descent of the mountain pass, when a breakaway of several riders was in progress. Due to safety concerns, the group was neutralized for twenty kilometers while the breakaway gained time.
At the restart, the group decided not to resume the race, so after discussions with the organizer and the commissaires' panel, it was decided to neutralize the stage in terms of time classification, while still awarding the stage win and points for the points classification and mountain classification.
In the end, the victory went to Nikolaj Mengel (Airtos-Carl Ras), who was part of the breakaway group: the Dane beat Luxembourg's Bettendorf and the Netherlands' Schulting in order.
The overall victory in the Polish stage race thus went to the Italian Alexander Konychev (Team Vorarlberg), who finished three seconds ahead of Finland's Borremans and the Czech Pridal, with Giacomo Ballabio closing in eighth place.
