On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, the organizers of the Quebec and Montreal Cycling Grand Prix (GPCQM) have unveiled the new route of the Quebec Cycling Grand Prix, a circuit that promises a renewed experience for cyclists and enthusiasts. The spectacular images of GPCQM professional cycling races have brought international visibility to Quebec City and Montreal since their first edition in 2010: for the upcoming 14th edition, the Quebec City GP will present a redesigned, greener, and slightly shorter route, but will see riders complete two additional laps (for a total of 216 km), while showcasing new aspects of the provincial capital.
QUEBEC CYCLING GRAND PRIX – SEPTEMBER 12, 2025
The start and finish will be on the Plains of Abraham, an emblematic and historically rich location, in the heart of Quebec's heritage. The Plains form a natural urban amphitheater that will welcome more spectators in a friendly atmosphere, with an enriching experience over time between rider appearances.Competitively, the longer race duration opens the door to more exciting race scenarios and favors a broader range of riders. Suspense will build with each lap, setting the stage for an explosive finale.
MONTREAL CYCLING GRAND PRIX – SEPTEMBER 14, 2025 In Montreal, the start/finish site on Avenue du Parc, renovated in 2024, will return with its numerous attractions: a more festive Fan Village and the electrifying and exclusive Sprint Zone, with space for 350 spectators to experience the adrenaline of the final sprint towards the finish line, just meters from the champions. The 2025 route remains the same as previous editions, but next year, the Montreal Cycling Grand Prix site will come alive with the colors of the UCI Road World Championships, which will take place in the city and surrounding areas just a week later. Note that the GPCQM team is also responsible for organizing the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal in 2026.
EXPERIENCE CYCLING IN GRAND STYLE On September 12 and 14, Quebec City and Montreal will let you experience the emotions of the only two UCI WorldTour races in the Americas. These unmissable events will see the participation of the 21 best cycling teams on the planet: 18 WorldTeams plus 3 ProTeam level squads. Additionally, since the first edition of GPCQM, the organizers have always wanted to invite the Canadian national team, allowing the next generation of local cyclists to experience this elite competition.More than simple races, the GPCQM transcends sporting competition to become a true popular celebration of commitment and athletic excellence. Entry to the events is free and the public is an integral part of the action, fueling the momentum and energy of the riders. This September, Quebec City, Montreal, and Planet Cycling unite to celebrate all of this!
A UNIQUE VISUAL SIGNATURE FOR 2025 The design of the official GPCQM poster this year was entrusted to Trevor Yardley-Jones, a Montreal illustrator acclaimed for his vibrant style that blends nostalgia and modernity. With his digital brush, he has captured the energy of cycling. Agency: Torrentiel / Illustrator: Trevor Yardley-Jones / Creative Director: Audrey Schelling / Art Director: Patrick Fleury
