Benoit Cosnefroy claimed a winning sprint at the Grand Prix du Morbihan in Plumelec, a French Cup event. The French rider from Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale outsprinted his compatriots Kevin Vauquelin and Clement Venturini, both from Arkea B&B Hotels, along with Uruguayan Silva. For Cosnefroy, this marks his first victory of the season.
THE RACE. A long day of breakaway for French riders Paul Thierry (Arkea B&B Hotels), Similien Hamon (CIC U Nantes), and Killian Theot (Van Rysel Roubaix), who were the main protagonists of the day's action. With 30 km to go, and the peloton already in pursuit, Thierry was the first to crack, while his breakaway companions continued their effort for a few more kilometers before being caught by the main group 23 kilometers from the finish.
