With the arrival of students from the Maestre Pie Schools in Bologna, a new territorial promotion activity linked to the Giro ne' Monti project, in anticipation of the Giro d'Italia, has begun.
These are the Pink Trips to Bismantova Stone, an opportunity and place to experience sports in nature while simultaneously exploring cross-curricular topics from the educational program. The first day went very well with Alpine Guides Pietro Barigazzi and Giovanni Olivieri and instructors Jimmy Casari and Davide Donadelli engaged in various activity stations among walls, trails, and paths, offering climbing, mountain biking, and educational trekking. All coordinated by the municipal sports office, present at the project's debut with Sports Councilor Carlo Boni and collaborator Franco Castagnetti.
As soon as they arrived in Castelnovo, teachers from the Maestre Pie School distributed the highly appreciated Stage City t-shirts, and the area around the Stone turned pink. This is the testimony of Professor Sergio Ruosi, Physical Education teacher from the Bologna institute, given at the end of the activities: "We left the school benches for a while to immerse ourselves in nature and experience something different from the usual, filled with movement, discovery, and collaboration. Thanks to the presence and valuable support of Castelnovo guides who accompanied us, we had the opportunity to try activities like mountain biking, trekking, and climbing. It was not only fun but also a chance to better understand the territory of our region. Seeing students challenge themselves, help each other, and overcome small difficulties together was truly exciting. It was an intense day full of emotions, in the spirit of sports, nature, and history, in a truly special place - an experience we will carry with us for a long time."
