Everything is ready for the first edition of ASPREVIE – Anghiari Gravel Roads, a cycling event organized by Gs Fratres Dynamis Bike and reserved for gravel bikes and MTBs. The big event is scheduled for Sunday, May 4th in Anghiari, one of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages, located in the province of Arezzo, already known by many cyclists for L'Intrepida.

The wait is finally coming to an end, and Asprevie promises to be an extraordinary adventure in the heart of the Apennines, immersed in the woods and secular villages of Valtiberina. Every pedal stroke will be a discovery of breathtaking places, starting from Anghiari, the departure and arrival location of the ride. There will be two routes, both characterized by stunning landscapes and challenging roads. There will be refreshment points and timed sections. Registrations are still open, fun is guaranteed!

Routes and Timed Sections

Two routes are available: the "Medium Route" of 78 km with an elevation gain of 1500 mt+ and the "Long Route" of 120 km with an elevation gain of 2600 mt+. Each participant can choose the most suitable route for their characteristics at the time of registration. Long route participants who pass the 70 km mark (at "Castello di Sorci") after 1:30 PM will be diverted to the medium route.

Fun, but also a desire to test oneself competitively on the most significant Asprevie sections, as those riding the long route can tackle three timed climbs and push themselves to the limit to prove they're the best. Those who record the lowest time (through widely used platforms like Strava) will win the respective jersey created in collaboration with Pissei. Here are the details:

- BLUE LILY jersey for the best (men and women) on the FELCINO REVERSE climb (2370 meters at 10.2% gradient)

- GOLD LILY jersey for the best (men and women) on the QUATTRO VIE climb (3400 meters at 9% gradient)

- RED LILY jersey for the best (men and women) on the FOSSA climb (660 meters at 10.1% gradient)

Allowed Bikes, Refreshments, Race Packages, and Start

Participation is possible with gravel bikes and MTBs, including e-bikes on the "Medium Route", provided they comply with the Highway Code. Given the presence of unpaved, uneven sections, the use of bikes with tire widths of at least 30 mm is strongly recommended. There will be 4 refreshment points on the "Long Route". The "Medium Route" includes 2 refreshment points. Numbers and race packages will be distributed on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday before the single start at 8:00 AM from the Sports Hall parking lot in Anghiari, Via Fausto Coppi, near the Station area.

Sunday in Anghiari, ASPREVIE is a unique experience, to be lived by pedaling on dirt roads, discovering places where nature and culture, past and future merge daily in landscapes, villages, and faces. Challenging oneself, overcoming personal limits, immersing in the history of Valtiberina, a border land, a land of water and stone, steeped in genius and sweat.
