An evening dedicated to current and past Varese cycling took place in Gorla Maggiore. In the beautiful setting of NUMM, an interesting debate was held centered around the volume "Varese Pedals" and the Severino Canavesi Cycling Society. Journalist Michele Marocco (Sunrise Media) interviewed former professional Stefano Zanini and the book's author Sergio Gianoli, following the introduction by Gorla Maggiore's mayor Pietro Zappamiglio who welcomed the guests.
Varese Pedals spans 176 pages, divided into 16 chapters, accompanied by 186 photographs and published by Sunrise Media. Numerous cycling anecdotes emerged during the evening, commenting on the volume which features a preface by Stefano Zanini. The former professional and now sports director announced a new role in youth cycling. This year, the Severino Canavesi Cycling Society will be reintroduced under the Italian Cycling Federation, with Stefano Zanini as its president: "This year, my collaborators and I will organize five events covering all youth categories and amateur cyclists - announced Zazà - and we're not ruling out the possibility that in the near future, some young riders might wear the glorious colors of the Severino Canavesi Cycling Society. I'm honored to lead this team with such a rich cycling history".
