S.C. CESANO MADERNO. THE RED ARROWS ARE READY FOR THE NEW SEASON

After a 2024 season full of satisfaction, victories, national jerseys, regional and provincial titles culminating with the TuttoBICI Oscar GP Androni Giocattoli won by Nicole Bracco, the Cycling Society Cesano Maderno is ready for the new sports year. Yesterday, at the "A Cà del Zep" restaurant in Cogliate, the traditional season kick-off party took place: a convivial moment strongly desired by President Giuseppe Fontana who, together with Pier Enrico Camisasca, Gigi Molteni and all the managers, gathered athletes, families, coaches, escorts and authorities to relive last year's joys and set the tone for the 2025 sports season. The event opened with a thought for Sara Piffer, the 19-year-old athlete who lost her life last Friday while training on the roads of Trentino Alto Adige. Subsequently, President Fontana greeted and thanked all attendees, congratulated the girls - whom he affectionately called "Red Arrows" - and emphasized that in 2025 the Cesano society will celebrate seventy years since its founding. The microphone then passed to Rosanna Arnaboldi, sports councilor of Cesano Maderno, who, bringing greetings from the entire Municipal Administration, praised the athletes and all team members for their activity and results achieved in racing fields across Italy, also remembering the major pink event on the upcoming May 29th when the city will host the arrival of the eighteenth stage of the 2025 Giro d'Italia. Wishes for a good season came to the athletes and staff of the Cesano Cycling Society from the President of Federciclismo Lombardy Stefano Pedrinazzi, and the newly elected regional councilor Debora Gatti. The Lombard manager, responsible for the women's sector, also announced that this year the Lombardy Regional Women's Representatives will be led by Barbara Cazzaniga (In the youth categories, she defended the colors of Costamasnaga, Cesano Maderno and Ju Green before moving to the elite in the mid-2000s) who succeeds Simona Frapporti in the role. At the Cesano Maderno Cycling Society party, Chiara Mariani, President of the Monza and Brianza Provincial Committee, and her vice Fabrizio Ghisotti did not want to miss the event. The party continued with the presentation of the Veloplus branded jersey that the Cesano Maderno athletes will wear during this sports year and with the presentation of the twenty-first edition of the Cesano - Ghisallo, a competition for women's categories that the Brianza team will organize next September 28th on the occasion of the National Bicycle Day of Ghisallo. Then came the long-awaited moment, the presentation of the teams. The seven Beginners (holders of the Italy Cup), led by Nicole Bracco, and the eight Juniors, led by Vivienne Cassata, took the spotlight and applause of the public, posing for photos alongside Matilde Vitillo, a young professional in the ranks of Liv Alula Jayco Development who acted as a "godmother" to the girls of the Cesano Maderno Cycling Society. The cake cutting and inaugural toast concluded the day of celebration. S.C.
