Backed by the experience of the previous season and the results achieved in terms of international visibility, the Polti Group confirms its sponsorship of the professional cycling team led by former champions Ivan Basso and Alberto Contador for 2025.
In its fourth year in the Professional category, Team Polti Kometa raced for 144 days in 2024, covering over 28,000 kilometers across 16 countries: an commitment that was also a great opportunity for visibility, from the Giro d'Italia to international races.
"The Team Polti Kometa has honored itself by competing in every competition, convincing with its racing style both in Italy and abroad, continuing to represent the values of integrity, respect, sustainability, and innovation that we also share as a company, confirming once again that you can be a team within a team" commented Francesca Polti, President and CEO of the Group, who strongly believed in returning to the world of cycling, a sport where the company was an undisputed protagonist for 17 years, from 1983 to 2000.
Among the opportunities and objectives related to the sponsorship, one of the main ones was to increase the brand awareness of the Polti brand, and to this end, the results obtained were periodically measured and quantified. With over 861 hours of television exposure in ten countries during the Giro d'Italia, 84% of the interviewed sample (CAWI research conducted by NextDifferent on a sample of 1,009 individuals) declared knowledge of the Polti brand and its products, a result that increased by three percentage points compared to the survey conducted before the Giro. The iconic Polti Vaporella and Polti Vaporetto products showed an increase in awareness of 2 and 5 percentage points, respectively.
Polti was also the third most remembered brand of the Giro d'Italia, behind Enel and Gazzetta dello Sport and ahead of brands like Toyota and Lidl.
In the next season, in strong synergy with Visit Malta, which will assume the role of co-title sponsor, Polti aims to further amplify its value message with increasingly innovative means and methods, in line with the company's DNA.
