A promising top ten for the two Italian athletes Giorgia Pellizotti and Mattia Agostinacchio in the first round of the Junior Cyclocross World Cup that took place today in Dublin, Ireland. Pellizotti, daughter of a cycling family (SS Sanfiorese), finished ninth in the women's race, which saw the success of American Lidia Cusack over French Desprez and Canadian Carrier. Pellizotti delivered a good race, securing valuable points in the standings, and her result among 29 athletes is certainly encouraging. European champion Agostinacchio also had a good performance, finishing tenth just 53" behind the winner, the French Soren Bruyere Joumard, who preceded Belgian riders Lejeune and Jacobs. Not a bad start to the Cup for our young athletes.
