Chiara Consonni claimed victory at the Philadelphia Classic, a circuit race held in the Pennsylvania town over a total distance of 101 kilometers. The Canyon Sram rider from Bergamo secured her second win of the season, beating Alexandra Volstad (EF Education-Oatly) and Ella Sabo (Virginia's Blue Ridge) in a thrilling sprint finish. Also among the top finishers were Giada Borghesi (Human Powered Health) and Gaia Segato (Vini Fantini Bepink), who crossed the line in seventh and eighth place respectively.

The breakaway that animated the race was initiated by Elisa Valtulini (Vini Fantini – BePink). She was joined by British rider Rachel Galler (FTP – Fulfil) and Americans Kimberly Stoveld (AUTOMATIC | ABUS), Galen Bolard (Competitive Edge) and Rebecca Lang (Team Winston).

With approximately twenty kilometers remaining to the finish, the peloton first caught Galler and then reeled in the other breakaway riders. In the blink of an eye, taking advantage of the steep gradients of Manayunk Wall, a new counterattack was launched by Chiara Consonni (Canyon Sram), Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka (Canyon Sram), Babette van der Wolf (EF Education-Oatly), Kristen Faulkner (EF Education-Oatly) and 41-year-old Megan Guarnier (CCB Levine Law Group).

This attempt too was neutralized, and the race came down to a group battle for the finale: repeated attacks whittled down the contenders for victory, and with one kilometer to go, a small group of twenty riders remained in contention. The final stretch proved particularly chaotic, with several riders hitting the deck in the closing hundreds of meters.
