Monica Trinca Colonel's Tour de France Femmes is over. The Valtelline rider from Liv AlUla Jayco, who yesterday crossed the finish line in Belleville en Beaujolais with a delay of 28 minutes from winner Vollering, will not present herself at the start from Montbrison today.

The Australian team announced this with a statement explaining that Monica has «developed an infection during the night and for this reason the team's medical staff decided that the athlete should leave the race in order to recover and get better».

The Tour de France Femmes also loses Barbara Malcotti. The rider from Trentino with Human Powered Health will not start, as reported by the team which has wished her a speedy recovery.
